This position oversees and ensures the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of a quality management system within operations & labs.

The key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, BIS, BPI, internal standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements across all testing, and inspection activities.

  • Develop and implement a QMS to ensure its compliance to requirements of:
  • ISO /IEC 17025, ISO 9001 & BIS

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor and appraise the effectiveness of the management system in various departments.
  • Lead quality audits (internal and external) and manage corrective/preventive actions.
  • Register customer complaints and resolve them by organizing for investigation, root cause analysis.
  • Train staff on QMS requirements, quality procedures, and testing standards.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks for tests carried out in the LAB through appropriate tools like retest, Inter-laboratory, Intra-laboratory, proficiency tests etc.

Responsibilities include:

  • Control of management system documents in the LAB.
  • Liaison with accreditation/approval /regulatory bodies regarding compliance & approval.
  • Review, approval, and issuance of all quality management system documents.
  • Improving the management system and identifying deviations from the management system or procedure for performing tests, initiating actions to prevent or minimize such deviations.

Requirements:

  • Education Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or laboratory management, preferably within petroleum or chemical testing services.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and laboratory accreditation processes.
