Wanted: An accomplished 3D texture artist. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for visual elements, strong technical proficiency in software like Maya and Photoshop, and the ability to create high-quality textures for 3D models.

This role requires collaboration with creative teams and a commitment to meeting project deadlines.

  • Exceptional texture creation ability, hand-painted textures a significant plus.
  • Strong analytical eye for volumes, shapes, proportions, detail distribution, color, and materials composition.
  • Ability to work effectively from photo reference or concept art when available, and provide own creative input.
  • Intuitive understanding of 3D visualization and ability to accurately sense scale and material properties.
  • Collaboration with designers to achieve artistic and project goals.
  • Successfully maintaining project deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of textures.
  • Providing guidance to other texture artists, fostering team growth and quality.
  • Staying updated on design and 3D texture technology by attending industry events and conducting research.

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in Maya & Photoshop.
  • Experience with Bodypaint & ZBrush highly recommended.
  • Solid knowledge of traditional texturing techniques.
  • Highly creative, as well as possessing strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy, materials, and manufacturing principles a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in creating assets within a Physically Based Rendering/Shader system.
  • Possessing strong traditional art or crafting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrating a strong passion for detail, quality, and the pursuit of artistic excellence.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed, capable of working independently.
