Hiring for a Senior Tax Advisor in Indirect Tax Litigation

The successful candidate will manage engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws, Appeals, Representation before various forums, investigation handholding, Litigation Management Service, Tax Restructuring, Tax Advisory and consulting pertaining to GST, Customs, Service Tax, VAT, and Excise.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountabilities include:

  • Advising clients on strategic issues and understanding client's needs
  • Playing a strong role in involving multi-disciplinary teams across the business unit in providing services to important accounts
Requirements:
  • Sound commercial acumen: Providing a perspective on global trends, emerging industry issues and emerging practices on client assignments.
  • Marketing & Business Development: Creating and managing strong independent relationships with clients at senior positions with minimal partner involvement, expanding client base with new wins and conversions (both existing and new clients) for the business unit.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Proactively taking a leadership role where appropriate, creating a climate of high performance in the team.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent Communication and Drafting Skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indirect Tax and other related laws.
  • Strong Analytical and researching skills
  • Proactive, reliable and with an attention to details
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Representation before various judicial forums
Qualifications:
  • CA or Law Graduate from a known Law School with a strong academic track record
  • 4-7 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect tax in the field of Indirect Tax Litigation or Advisory
