Job Role:

We are seeking a Design Automation Specialist to join our Research and Development team. This role will involve architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining software tools and methodologies that improve the efficiency and accuracy of the design process.

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills to describe findings to a technical and non-technical audience.

The successful candidate will have experience in AI technologies and their application to industrial automation, with a strong background in industrial products and CAD modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software tools and methodologies to automate the design process
  • Debug and troubleshoot software tools and methodologies to ensure they meet design requirements and function as expected
  • Develop and maintain documentation for software tools and methodologies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design automation to continuously improve software tools and methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, and drive design automation projects to completion
  • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders as needed, including training, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues
  • Document and maintain technical specifications, project plans, and design files

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial products, preferred expertise in Engineered Products or custom design solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in industrial automation products
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, leading multiple projects simultaneously
