Lead Audit Manager Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading audit engagements from planning to completion.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Lead Audit Manager to join our team in India.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audit engagements, supervising staff, building relationships with clients, and leading engagement teams.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP and experience auditing real estate, technology, and financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations to provide world-class client service to real estate, technology, and financial services clients.
  2. Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, financial reporting, and conclusion.
  3. Provide supervision and support to engagement staff, seniors, and supervisors, promoting open communication with the engagement partner.
  4. Collaborate with engagement team partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for legal, regulatory, and accounting issues.
  5. Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Master's; CPA preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of public accounting experience, including leading multiple engagements and supervising staff, with experience auditing real estate, technology, and financial services clients preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including familiarity with US GAAP.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client/internal relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to clients' management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem-solving skills.
