Electrical Design Engineer Role

The electrical design engineer will be responsible for creating detailed electrical drawings and schematics for power distribution, lighting, control circuits, and other electrical systems. This includes working with electrical engineers to interpret their designs and translate them into technical drawings and plans.

  • Create wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Develop accurate and scalable electrical design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting tools.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the engineering team to understand project requirements and ensure the electrical designs meet all specifications.

  • Participate in design review meetings and assist in revising drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure proper integration of electrical systems within the overall project.

Ensure that all electrical designs and drawings adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

  • Perform checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformity to design specifications.
  • Revise and update drawings as needed to incorporate changes or improvements during the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software used for electrical designs.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control circuits, and low-voltage systems.
  • Experience creating electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
