About the Role

As a seasoned Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our backend systems. You will have the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges, including making our architecture scalable to handle growing traffic, improving performance and reliability, and developing new product features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across our engineering teams.
  • Build event-driven architecture using highly scalable message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
  • Develop microservices based on performance and efficiency needs.
  • Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale.
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails (RoR) with hands-on experience in at least one project.
  • Experience working on scaling backend systems over 5 years.
  • Familiarity with microservice and event-driven architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies like Kafka in building data pipelines with high volume of data.
  • Ability to write high-quality code and think about systems and services.
  • Experience deploying applications on the cloud, preferably AWS.
