Job Description

Circuit Provisioner is responsible for managing the order process, encompassing technical spec validation, documentation, and order processing. This includes handling change orders, disconnections, and order tracking. The Provisioner is responsible for provisioning orders to provide high-end Telecom services to customers. This involves placing orders via multiple carrier systems, coordinating new service delivery and turn up with carriers, tracking delivery milestones, and managing order issues.

The Provisioner is also responsible for updating project coordinators daily and coordinating with carriers to obtain delivery and fulfillment confirmation for orders. Weekly conference calls with carriers are also a part of this role.

Responsibilities include issuing orders for different bandwidth types of circuits to various carriers, following up to obtain confirmation and completion of orders, and dealing with carriers for escalations to meet SLAs.

The Provisioner works with carrier project managers for construction jobs or escalations to provide facilities and deliver circuits on time. This role also involves coordinating service installations and activations, working with carriers and project coordinators to ensure successful service installations.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Working understanding of telecommunications services and concepts, including POTS, T1, PRI, VoIP, and SIP.
  • Solid hands-on skills in business applications software, including Microsoft Office and Internet browsers.
  • Able to be flexible to work off-hours if required.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must communicate clearly and effectively with peers, customers, and management in a team environment.
  • Satisfactory skills with documentation, reporting, and knowledge transfer.
  • Ability to research and effective organizational skills.

  • Sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds.
  • Bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and crawling.
  • Keyboarding/typing.
  • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device, and/or a paper copy.
