Job Title: API Tester

As a seasoned professional in API testing, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated functional and performance tests for RESTful APIs. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration testing with Kafka messaging systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Automated Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated functional and performance tests for RESTful APIs.
  • Integration Testing: Ensure seamless integration testing with Kafka messaging systems.
  • Workflows Validation: Validate end-to-end Kafka-based workflows, including message production and consumption across distributed services.
  • Containerized Environment: Work in a containerized OpenShift environment, supporting microservices-based architectures.
  • Test Script Maintenance: Maintain and enhance automated test scripts, test cases, and test data.
  • API Validation Tools: Use tools such as Postman, JMeter, and custom automation frameworks to validate APIs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Log Analysis: Monitor and analyze logs using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for debugging and validation.
  • Defect Tracking: Report and track defects, and participate in root cause analysis and test plan reviews.

Requirements:

  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of API testing, automation testing, and Kafka-based workflows.
  • Experience: Familiarity with containerized OpenShift environments and microservices-based architectures.
  • Tools Familiarity: Experience with tools such as Postman, JMeter, and custom automation frameworks.
