We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to lead the development and execution of large-scale technology initiatives.

Our team uses a tech stack that includes Java, Postgres, Kafka, and Redis, with our infrastructure hosted on AWS.

This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications. You will also define metrics and implement code for diagnostics and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing software applications using Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MicroServices
  • Designing, developing, and implementing new backend services and applications
  • Participating in the full development lifecycle, including design, coding, automated testing, and production releases of backend services
  • Contribute to and drive department best practices, guidelines implementation and adherence to standards

Requirements include:

  • Experience in mentoring junior developers
  • Strong software development fundamentals (Data structures, Algorithms, problem-solving, OO design, and systems architecture)
  • Proficiency in Java and good knowledge of frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, etc.
  • Knowledge of multithreading and memory management specific to mobile devices and caching mechanisms
  • B.S. or M.S. Computer Science and 4-6 years of experience in software development
