Job Title: Storage Administrator

Role Overview

The Storage Administrator plays a crucial role in designing, implementing and managing NetApp storage systems. This position requires expertise in providing operational support to the File Serving/NAS Infrastructure within an organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Netapp storage systems, including procurement, installation, configuration, software upgrades, and storage provisioning.
  • Add disk shelves to existing storage for standalone and high-availability controllers.
  • Extensive experience in configuring and managing DR replications via SnapMirror.
  • Manage vfilers, fiber interconnect switches, storage reporting, and monitoring tools.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of CIFS and NFS technologies.
  • Provide operational support to the File Serving / NAS Infrastructure, planning and implementing data migrations using Robocopy.
  • Utilize operational ticketing systems to record changes and work history details, such as ServiceNow.
  • Handle Disk, Aggregate, Qtree, and Volume issues.
  • Monitor Storage Critical Events.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in storage administration.
  • Hands-on experience with NetApp and Hitachi.
  • Strong technical skills and in-depth understanding of CMODE and CDOT & fabric switches.
  • Significant experience with software tools from NetApp (OCUM, OCI etc).
  • Excellent understanding of enterprise process mapping tools and techniques, as well as industry good practice frameworks like ITIL and Agile.
