Energy Modelling Role
Khatib & Alami is looking for a qualified individual to provide expertise in energy modelling and management for various projects across the Middle East and internationally.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy modelling software, including IES-VE, Energy Plus, and eQuest, as well as experience in HVAC design and energy management.
Responsibilities
- Perform energy modelling exercises from start to finish, focusing on detailed inputs and outputs.
- Analyze energy modelling results and report data in an accurate manner.
- Review design drawings and documents from HVAC and electrical design teams.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in vendors' software.
- Coordinate with consultants and teams regarding energy modelling requirements to be incorporated in the design.
- Assist in creating and managing client deliverables and reports under the guidance of senior team members.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Well-rounded understanding of refrigerant cycles, electrical and mechanical system efficiencies, and thermal heat transfer principles.
- Preferably 3+ years of experience in HVAC design or energy management related field, with Middle East experience being advantageous.
- Knowledge of global energy codes, such as ASHRAE and CIBSE, and rating systems like LEED and Estidama.
- Proficiency in energy modelling software, including IES-VE, Energy Plus, and eQuest.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate results via Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and related software.
- Flexible and open to working with the wider environment and sustainability disciplines.
