Senior Motion Graphics Designer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualization and Storyboarding
    • Collaborate with clients or creative teams to understand project requirements, develop visual concepts, and create storyboards to outline the animation sequence.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's vision and translate it into engaging motion graphics.
  • Design and Animation
    • Utilize industry-standard software to design and animate graphic elements, typography, characters, and visual effects in 2D or 3D.
    • Effectively communicate ideas through visual storytelling and balance aesthetics with functionality.
  • Typography and Kinetic Typography
    • Select and animate text effectively to convey messages and create visual interest.
    • Apply principles of layout, composition, color theory, and typography to enhance the overall visual appeal.
  • Audio Integration
    • Sync animations with voiceovers, sound effects, and music to create a cohesive and engaging final product.
    • Ensure that audio elements complement the visuals without overpowering them.
  • Video Editing
    • Combine motion graphics with live-action footage and perform post-production tasks using software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
    • Balance pacing, tone, and narrative flow to captivate the audience.
  • Brand Consistency
    • Ensure that all motion graphics align with the client's brand guidelines, including color palettes, typography, and visual style.
    • Stay true to the brand's identity while injecting creativity and originality.
  • Staying Current
    • Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, animation techniques, and software advancements.
    • Apply fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to stay ahead in the field.
  • Optimization
    • Prepare and export animations in various formats optimized for different platforms (web, social media, broadcast, etc.).
    • Guarantee seamless playback on diverse devices and ensure compatibility with multiple browsers.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of design principles: Layout, composition, color theory, and typography.
  • End-to-end project execution ability, from concept development through delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience in motion graphics, animation, and video production.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering value to the team.
  • Proficiency in animation principles: Timing, spacing, easing, anticipation, etc.
  • Mastery of industry-standard software: Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro is a must, and knowledge of other software is highly valued.
  • Creativity and artistic vision: Ability to develop original and engaging visual concepts.
  • Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy and visual consistency in all aspects of the animation.
  • Communication and collaboration skills: Effectively conveying ideas and working well with others.
  • Time management and organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn: The field is constantly evolving, so staying current is crucial.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of motion graphics work.
