Principal Consultant - Trading Platforms QA

We are seeking a highly experienced consultant to lead and execute quality assurance activities for our trading platforms. This role involves ensuring the functionality, performance, and stability of the platform across various environments.

The ideal candidate will own and manage the QA lifecycle, including planning, test case development, execution, and defect management. They will work closely with trading and IT teams to understand system requirements, user needs, and business processes to identify critical areas for testing.

A comprehensive understanding of trading workflows, financial products, and market data in relation to trading platforms is essential. The consultant will develop, maintain, and execute test plans and strategies for Endur and related tools, as well as collaborate with business analysts and developers to ensure proper testing coverage.

Mentorship skills are also required, as the consultant will provide support for junior QA team members. Defining, implementing, and enforcing QA best practices, standards, and methodologies across all projects is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute QA activities on the trading platform, ensuring functionality, performance, and stability across various environments.
  • Own and manage the QA lifecycle for the trading platform, including planning, test case development, execution, and defect management.
  • Work closely with trading and IT teams to understand system requirements, user needs, and business processes to identify critical areas for testing.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for Endur and related tools.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to ensure proper testing coverage for new functionalities, features, and system integrations.
  • Mentor junior QA team members, providing support for both technical and non-technical issues.
  • Define, implement, and enforce QA best practices, standards, and methodologies across all projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA within trading or financial platforms.
  • Extensive experience in functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing within a complex trading environment.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Endur or similar trading platforms.
  • Solid understanding of trading workflows, financial products, and market data in relation to trading platforms.
  • Experience working with test automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
