Job Title: Product Portfolio Manager

The role of Product Portfolio Manager involves overseeing the development, sales, and growth strategies for a diverse portfolio of fresh produce. This includes managing sourcing, sales, and category development to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Category Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and execute growth plans across vegetables and fruits to drive sales, profitability, and expansion.
    • Track market trends, customer demand patterns, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
    • Define assortment strategy, including varieties, pack sizes, and sourcing regions, for each category.
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Drive sales of assigned categories across various channels, including e-commerce, quick commerce, modern retail, and institutional buyers.
    • Build strong relationships with customers and close deals to achieve revenue and margin targets.
    • Lead a sales team to scale with category volumes over time.
  • Sourcing & Supplier Development
    • Establish and maintain strong supplier networks across regions, including sourcing vegetables from Nasik, Karnataka, MP, AP, and UP, and fruits from Himachal, Kashmir, and imported apples and oranges.
    • Negotiate procurement contracts to ensure price competitiveness, consistent quality, and supply reliability.
    • Pursue import/export opportunities for off-season coverage.
  • Operations & Supply Chain
    • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams for efficient sourcing, grading, packaging, and logistics.
    • Optimize farm-to-customer movement, minimizing waste and cost.
    • Evaluate freshness and availability across the portfolio.
  • Financial & Performance Management
    • Manage financial performance of assigned categories, including revenues, margins, and working capital.
    • Monitor SKU profitability, waste levels, and demand-supply alignment.
    • Create regular performance dashboards highlighting risks and opportunities.
