Financial Operations Specialist

Job Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Performance Expert to play a pivotal role in our Fund Accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- To spearhead the gathering and documentation of functional and technical requirements for system enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with technology teams to enhance fund accounting platforms, identifying opportunities for automation and data integrity improvement.
- Gather and document knowledge of hedge fund accounting concepts, with a focus on NAV calculation, trade capture, cash/position reconciliations, performance fees, and investor allocations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial instruments: equities, fixed income, derivatives.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools for data analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and business analysis skills, including process modeling, UAT, and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
Fund Accounting Workflows:
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of hedge fund accounting workflows, including trade capture, reconciliation processes, and performance fee calculations.
Process Improvement:
The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and streamlining existing processes, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency across all accounting systems.
