Cloud Migration Expert Wanted

We are seeking an experienced cloud migration expert to lead and execute end-to-end data migration projects from on-premises to cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud migrations, proficient in Azure migration tools, and a solid knowledge of SQL and common RDBMS migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-based services like Azure Data Factory or Databricks.
  • Perform workload migrations including databases, applications, and unstructured data into cloud services (e.g., Azure SQL, Azure Blob, Azure Data Lake).
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to configure cloud VMs, Vnets, NSGs, subnets, and ExpressRoute/VPNs for migration scenarios.
  • Implement and manage backup and restore solutions using cloud-based services like Azure Backup and Recovery Services Vault.
  • Ensure data security and compliance during migration (encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, private endpoints, VPN).
  • Troubleshoot and optimize migration performance (bandwidth utilization, data compression, delta loads).
  • Document migration strategies, runbooks, and post-migration validation steps.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in cloud migrations.
  • Strong expertise in on-prem - cloud and cloud - cloud workloads.
  • Proficient in cloud migration tools (Azure Data Factory, DMS, Storage Migration Service, AzCopy).
  • Good understanding of networking and infrastructure setup (VMs, VNets, connectivity, ExpressRoute/VPN).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and common RDBMS migrations.
