As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing innovative steel solutions across various sectors.

The Role:

  • Derive load paths, equilibrium, buckling & fatigue checks manually before using software for validation.
  • Analyse and validate steel structures in ANSYS, Dlubal RFEM and custom spreadsheets.
  • Collaborate with detailers and CAD technicians to transform calculations into buildable drawings.
  • Optimise designs by scrutinising critical results, safety factors and fabrication constraints.
  • Conduct QA reviews of models, hand calculations, reports and fabrication packages; mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual load path derivation, equilibrium checks, buckling and fatigue analysis.
  • Steel structure analysis and validation in ANSYS, Dlubal RFEM and custom spreadsheets.
  • Collaboration with detailers and CAD technicians for calculation-to-drawing translation.
  • Design optimisation through result scrutiny, safety factor evaluation and fabrication constraint management.
  • QA review and mentoring of models, calculations, reports and fabrication packages.

Working Conditions:

  • Moderate work environment with standard office equipment.
  • Daily collaboration with engineering teams and other stakeholders.
  • Occasional site visits for project monitoring and quality control.
