Job Title: Coastal Engineering Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in civil engineering and coastal/marine engineering to fill this key role. As a Coastal Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing breakwater systems that safeguard port infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Breakwater Design and Construction: Lead the design, planning, and construction of rubblemound, vertical, and hybrid breakwaters, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee port expansion projects, guaranteeing adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality control measures.
  • Coastal Engineering Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in breakwater construction, port development, or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics, and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.
