Job Title: Purchasing Specialist - Excavator Procurement

The role of a Purchasing Specialist for Excavators involves coordinating worldwide purchasing strategies throughout the platform while supporting and participating in new product development processes and platform activities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Purchasing, Product Development, Project Management, or a similar field. They must possess advanced computer skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of manufacturing engineering requirements and planning systems.

This position serves as a liaison between the Purchasing function and platform engineering teams for assigned product platforms. It entails identifying and managing reliable and effective direct material supplier bases for all engineering and platform activities, increasing suppliers' support and involvement in co-design strategies, R&D, part standardization, target costing, quality, and cost reduction.

The successful candidate will also monitor negotiations and implementation of all technical modifications, coordinate efforts in managing Purchasing, Engineering cost reduction projects, contribute to CE TCR targets, vehicle total variable cost targets, generate and update business cases for savings and returns, and support commodities in sourcing processes.
