You will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, designing, building, and managing scalable data pipelines and enterprise data solutions using innovative technologies like Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Design: Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing, ensuring seamless integration of structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources including SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and external APIs, utilising expertise in data modelling and warehousing concepts.
  • SQL Query Optimisation: Write efficient and optimised SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers in SQL Server, applying best practices for performance tuning.
  • Databricks Processing: Use Databricks (Spark with Python/Scala) to process large datasets for transformation and analytics, leveraging experience with data validation, monitoring, and auditing techniques.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define and deliver data solutions, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in programming principles and software development methodologies.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data solutions and meeting project deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with Azure Data Services: Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse; Databricks (Azure implementation), including experience with Spark (Python or Scala); Microsoft SQL Server: Writing advanced SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Soft Skills: Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT best practices, and data modelling (star/snowflake schema); Familiarity with data governance, RBAC, and data security practices in Azure; Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and version control with Git; Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
