  • Serve as a career advisor, providing mentorship and coaching to employees.
  • Train and develop staff members.
  • Communicate complex tax issues to clients in a non-technical manner.
  • Advise clients on corporate and partnership tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Review research findings and ensure conclusions align with firm policies and professional standards.
  • Assist with new business development, extended services, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
  • Attract, develop, and retain staff.
  • Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.

  • 7+ years of experience in business taxation with a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm in the real estate industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • CPA or EA certification.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
