About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled SALT Senior Staff to join our Partnerships team in Hyderabad. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing detailed technical reviews of partnership state tax returns and work papers, with a focus on multistate tax issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed technical reviews of partnership state tax returns and work papers, with attention to multistate tax issues such as allocation, apportionment, state modifications, nexus, unitary/non-unitary filings, and flow-through/pass-through taxation.
- Assist with engagement workflow management and supervising tax staff on assigned engagements.
- Assist with various tax projects, including research for tax planning.
- Identify open items and communicate with the Manager.
- Research state tax legislation and assist with its impact on compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting (B. Com, MBA, M. Com)
- CPA, EA (or in process of pursuing) or CPA eligible strongly preferred
- Four (4) years' tax experience in an accounting firm required
- Experience with pass-through entities and partnerships strongly preferred
- Proven engagement and staff management skills
- Effective writing, communication, and tax research skills
- Experience with tax technology a plus
- Research and consult on complex tax matters
- Coach and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
