Senior Model Developer Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Senior Model Developer to spearhead the development of cutting-edge mathematical and statistical models. The successful candidate will have a strong background in model development, risk management, and data analysis.

  • Key responsibilities include designing analytics and modelling solutions to complex business problems, collaborating with technology teams to specify dependencies, developing high-performing analytics and modelling solutions, implementing models in accurate software, and providing ongoing support for analytics and modelling solutions.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in CCR (Counterparty Credit Risk) models, including IMM Models, SA-CCR, CVA, BASEL Framework, Monte Carlo Simulation, Exposure/Collateral Modelling, PFE (Potential Future exposure), EPE, EPPE, Derivatives Pricing, Greeks, Risk Factor Modelling, Back-testing, Numerical Analysis, and SR 11/7.

Additionally, the candidate should have hands-on experience in coding languages like Python, C++, and R, as well as experience in Stress Testing/Scenarios Modelling, Statistical Modelling, Regulators and regulatory frameworks, Stakeholders - Model Owners, Audit, Validation.

As a Senior Model Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics used in business decision-making.

Accountabilities:
  • Design analytics and modelling solutions to complex business problems using domain expertise.
  • Collaboration with technology to specify any dependencies required for analytical solutions, such as data, development environments and tools.
  • Development of high performing, comprehensively documented analytics and modelling solutions, demonstrating their efficacy to business users and independent validation teams.
  • Implementation of analytics and models in accurate, stable, we'll-tested software and work with technology to operationalise them.
  • Provision of ongoing support for the continued effectiveness of analytics and modelling solutions to users.
  • Demonstrate conformance to all Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly Model Risk Policy.
  • Ensure all development activities are undertaken within the defined control environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of CCR models and related methodologies.
  • Expertise in coding languages like Python, C++, and R.
  • Hands-on experience in stress testing/scenarios modelling, statistical modelling, regulators and regulatory frameworks, stakeholders - model owners, audit, validation.
  • Ability to design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics used in business decision-making.
