Chief Road Safety Specialist

This is a senior-level position that requires experience in mobility and/or road safety in India.
- The role involves leading, planning, implementing, and evaluating road safety strategies across the state.
- You will work closely with government stakeholders, urban and rural authorities, law enforcement agencies, consultants, and community groups to reduce traffic fatalities, enhance roadway safety, and deliver on state and national policy objectives.
- Policy & Strategy Development
- Develop, implement, and periodically review the State Road Safety Policy and Action Plan.
- Advise on alignment of state initiatives with national road safety frameworks and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Develop guidelines and standards for safe road infrastructure, signage, and traffic management.
- Infrastructure Planning & Design Evaluation
- Evaluate design and safety aspects of new and existing road projects, including highways, urban roads, intersections, and vulnerable user zones.
- Recommend countermeasures for high-risk locations.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as transportation engineering, public health, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in road safety or a related field
