The role of a Tax Manager involves overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns. This includes ensuring timely and accurate submission of federal and state tax returns, as well as Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1041.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex Tax Return Preparation: Our ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring compliance with IRS and state regulations.
  • Tax Planning Strategies: We are looking for someone who can develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize wealth for our clients.
  • Tax Staff Management: The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing and supervising tax staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure they possess the necessary skills and expertise.
  • Research and Resolution: Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide creative solutions to clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A CPA or EA certification is mandatory, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in US taxation, with strong technical expertise in 1040, 1065, 1120, and estate/trust returns. Prior experience managing teams is also essential.
  • Tech Skills: Proficiency in US tax software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or equivalent is required.
