Portfolio Monitoring Specialist

Our team specializes in global market research and works with top-rated investment research organizations, bulge bracket investment banks, and leading asset managers.

As a key member of our Private Credit team, you will support portfolio managers of a private equity firm in the portfolio monitoring process.

  • Prepare financial spreadsheets (PL, BS, and CF) on an Excel-based model or a lending platform, along with key credit metrics calculations
  • Identify key performance indicators and create reports for the credit review process
  • Calculate covenants in line with facility agreements and provide detailed rationales for covenant met/breach results
  • Perform annual/quarterly/monthly reviews and populate associated templates
  • Conduct business overview and SWOT analysis
  • Perform financial analysis (historical and forecast, as well as operating, leverage, and liquidity ratios)
  • Evaluate covenant performance
  • Verify/compute compliance against thresholds (DSC, FCCR, LTV, interest cover, leverage, etc.)
  • Analyze collateral
  • Provide ad-hoc support to portfolio managers
  • Mentor/train junior team members and act as an SME for other team members
  • Manage the performance and development of junior team members
  • Engage with clients through regular calls and periodic communication
  • Support senior managers with project-level tasks such as delivery, dashboards, QCs, training, client management, etc.

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A master's degree in finance, economics, or accounting from a reputable institution
  • Strong accounting and financial skills
  • An eye for detail and ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build a strong team culture
  • Ability to ensure timely task completion
  • Attentive and active listening skills
  • Capacity to challenge current thinking by implementing new ways of working
