Financial Leadership Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the Centre of Excellence for Fund Accounting in Pune. As a senior accounting professional, you will assist in the governance, control, and management of financial reporting processes for designated funds/entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support monthly/quarterly financial, investor, and regulatory reporting by ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of data.
  • Oversee multiple strategies/assets classes and support annual financial statement review and audit process by identifying areas of improvement.
  • Interact with fund administrators to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial and investor reporting by developing strong relationships.
  • Lead/support fund cash and liquidity management, including bridge facilities, treasury positions, and counterparty exposure by mitigating risks.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations, invoices, and payment processes to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support capital activities, compliance monitoring, and performance fee calculations by analyzing data and providing insights.
Group Reporting
  • Finalize/shade management fees and subsequent reporting to client's Group Finance function by ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Lead the reporting of AUM/FUM information to client's Group Finance function by providing regular updates.
  • Lead workstream in relation to gathering ad hoc data requests from PLC Group Finance by prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Administrator Oversight, Systems, and Process Management
  • Lead fund administrator assessments and feedback, including monitoring administrator delivery against SLAs and KPIs by providing constructive criticism.
  • Lead workstream with client's Operations teams to ensure deals are correctly recorded in-house systems by maintaining accurate records.
  • Take lead in ensuring adequate process documentation and control for areas of responsibility by implementing best practices.
Projects and People Management
  • Lead ad-hoc projects for continuous improvement to the Fund Accounting operating model by analyzing data and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Responsible for overseeing a team of up to 6 Fund Accountants, providing direction, guidance, and review by fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Responsible for training and development of team members, including timely performance reviews by recognizing strengths and weaknesses.
COE Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead efficiency initiatives and act as main point of contact for developing transformation ideas from India by leveraging expertise.
  • Ensure all operational metrics, management reporting requirements, and requests are completed on time by establishing clear priorities.
  • Keep Fund Accounting Lead COE lead abreast of material issues impacting client deliverables and ensure timely escalation by communicating effectively.
  • Develop operational risk best practices and risk mitigation strategies by conducting thorough analysis.
