Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Mechanical Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC design, specifically for Railway Station Building Services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct heat load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and pressure drop calculations.
  • Select HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHU, FCU, boiler, fans, pumps, etc.
  • Prepare technical submittals.
  • Possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Have knowledge of software like AutoCAD, MEP Revit, MicroStation, and other drafting software.
  • A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential.
  • Experience with associated discipline software (HAP, Hevacomp, IES, etc.)
  • Florent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
  • Promote technical excellence in all our projects.
  • Undertake technical reviews, peer reviews, checks, and contribute to the design.
  • Develop positive professional relationships with colleagues, communicating openly about project progress.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and support other Engineers and CAD Technicians.
  • Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering.
  • Mechanical engineering degree and membership to an accredited engineering body.
  • Technically good in Mechanical HVAC designing.
  • HVAC design experience of UK Projects.
  • Fully conversant with technical software like IES, Hevacomp, HAP.
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential.
  • Florent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to work.
