Senior Academic Leader in Film Education

We are seeking a visionary Senior Academic Leader to spearhead our film education programs. As a key member of our academic team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative curricula, ensuring they meet industry standards and accreditation requirements.

  • Developing Academic Programs:
  • Create and implement cutting-edge academic programs in film production, directing, screenwriting, and related fields.
  • Maintain strong connections with industry professionals to stay updated on global cinema trends and emerging technologies.

Faculty and Staff Management

  • Mentorship and Evaluation:
  • Mentor and evaluate faculty members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.
  • Promote professional development and research opportunities within the department.

Student Development

  • Recruitment and Retention:
  • Oversee student recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students.
  • Support student success through mentorship and career counseling, empowering them to achieve their goals.

Industry and Community Engagement

  • Partnerships and Outreach:
  • BUILD partnerships with industry leaders, production houses, and film organizations, creating opportunities for collaboration and growth.
  • Organize guest lectures, workshops, and networking events, providing valuable experiences for students and faculty.

Strategic Planning and Vision

  • Long-term Goals:
  • Develop long-term strategies for department growth, aligning with institutional objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in academic administration or operations, with a track record of successful leadership.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with academic management software.
