The Vice Chancellor is a dynamic leader who oversees the academic and operational aspects of a medical institution. This role requires strategic vision, innovative thinking, and exceptional leadership skills to drive excellence in academics, research, and student experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Academic Leadership
    • Develop and implement academic strategies to align with global standards and emerging trends in education and healthcare.
    • Drive continuous improvement of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Research and Innovation Development
    • Foster a vibrant research culture by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publishing, and securing research funding.
    • Establish institutional frameworks to facilitate cutting-edge research and seamless academic operations.
  • Institutional Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
    • Oversee the functioning of statutory bodies, including the Academic Council, Finance Committee, and Board of Management.
  • External Engagement and Representation
    • Represent the institution at national and international platforms to build visibility and reputation.
    • Establish partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, research bodies, and industries to support student internships, placements, and knowledge exchange.
  • Student Success
    • Champion student welfare, mentoring, career readiness, and holistic development.
    • Create a safe, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating campus environment.

To be successful as a Vice Chancellor, you will require a distinguished academic background, teaching experience, and a proven track record of leadership in academic administration. A medical Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a premier institution is highly desirable, along with significant experience in academic education, research, curriculum development, and administration.
