Solar Energy Specialist

Job Overview:

This role involves collaborating with the team to validate input data, plan deliverables, and educate colleagues on technical aspects.

Main responsibilities include running simulations for sites/projects, preparing reports, maintaining quality, solving problems, identifying discrepancies, and providing alternative solutions.

The selected individual will be responsible for managing multiple solar/renewable portfolios, guiding the team in delivering high-priority tasks, updating project trackers, and monitoring schedules for deliverables.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering or a related degree from an accredited program, minimum 5 years of experience in engineering with expertise in Solar BESS plant operations, planning, or consulting.

Other requirements include strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead, educate, and train a team of engineers.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are also essential.

Able to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.

Must be able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor of Technology in Electrical engineering or related degree from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 5 years in Engineering with experience associated with Solar BESS plant operations, planning, or consulting.
  • Project experience with solar system configuration, integration of BESS, design of BESS, knowledge of relevant regulations, optimization of combined systems, Inverter selection, collection network design, and understanding of meteo data.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead, educate, and train a team of engineers.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
