Manufacturing and Operations Engineer Role

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing and Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a proactive, results-driven professional with expertise in process optimization, supplier negotiations, and lean manufacturing.

The selected candidate will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to process improvements, production efficiency, and supply chain management. We are looking for someone who can navigate challenges effectively, possess a proactive attitude, and be willing to learn and contribute.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor search and development
  • Negotiating with suppliers to optimize material costs and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Setting up manufacturing and quality control processes at the contract manufacturer's location
  • Procurement of raw materials and semi-finished goods for lifestyle products
  • Implementing ERP (Odoo) and project management (Jira) systems to elevate visibility and streamline workflows
  • Business operations - certifications, pricing, logistics
  • Inventory management - minimizing stockouts and excess inventory
  • Rapid R&D prototyping to reduce lead times for new component designs, improving agility and speed to market
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to independently navigate challenges
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration
  • 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setup
