Senior GCP Data Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GCP Data Engineer to design and deploy innovative solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.

This role involves working as part of an implementation team from concept to operations, providing deep technical expertise for successful deployment. Key responsibilities include implementing automation methods for the pipeline to minimize labor in development and production, designing and deploying a pipeline with automated data lineage, identifying and developing Proof of Concepts to prove out solutions, and testing and comparing competing solutions to report out the best solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy a cloud-based data pipeline with automated data lineage
  • Implement automation methods for the pipeline to minimize labor in development and production
  • Develop and evaluate Proof of Concepts to prove out solutions
  • Test and compare competing solutions to report out the best solution
Requirements:
  • 6+ Years of experience in Data Engineering and minimum 3+ years of Google Cloud Platform is a must
  • Strong understanding of BigQuery, DataFlow, Pub/Sub, BigTable, Data Fusion, DataProc, Cloud Compose, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and App Engine
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
