PACS Imaging SpecialistJob Summary:
The PACS Imaging Specialist plays a key role in providing technical assistance to users of imaging systems, analyzing user needs and requirements, resolving application issues, and maintaining system applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for imaging applications and solutions.
- Handle network and workstation-related issues.
- Implement change requests and vendor updates to imaging applications and systems.
- Recommend improvements and optimize the efficiency of imaging applications and systems.
- Test new systems, upgrades, interfaces, and system modifications in accordance with standard procedures.
- Monitor applications and systems proactively for potential issues.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation regarding systems and applications.
- Provide on-call coverage for user support.
- Perform system and application audits as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- At least three years of prior PACS Systems experience and overall 8-10 years of experience.
- Knowledge of workflow associated with imaging core labs and clinical trials is desirable.
- Basic understanding of DICOM, HL7, IHE, and other health-related standards.
- Experience working with multiple operating systems, modalities, and clinical systems.
- Strong customer service focus, excellent follow-up skills, and strong documentation skills.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly.
- Ability to manage projects and deliverables with high accuracy and completeness.
- Advanced knowledge of imaging systems technologies and integration.
- Strong knowledge of the DICOM Standard and DICOM Services.
