Steel Plant Purchase Manager

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to join our team at the Steel Plant. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and management skills.

About the Role

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for leading the procurement function across multiple sites, managing relationships with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Management: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business needs.
  • Order Management: Manage the ordering process from initial request to final delivery.
  • Reconciliation Vendor Statement: Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Sourcing & Procurement: Identify and source new suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Purchasing & Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Price Negotiation: Negotiate prices with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Purchase Management: Oversee the purchase process from initial request to final delivery.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality products.
  • Stock Verification: Verify stock levels to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Material Delivery & Payments: Manage the delivery and payment process for materials.
  • Tender Management: Manage the tendering process for new projects.
  • PO Releasing: Release purchase orders to suppliers.
  • SOP Management: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for procurement processes.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality products.
  • SAP Procurement: Utilize SAP procurement software to manage procurement processes.
  • Vendor Performance Management: Monitor and manage vendor performance to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Global Sourcing: Source materials globally to meet business needs.
  • Negotiation and Liaison: Negotiate agreements with suppliers and liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Warehouse Management: Manage warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage and distribution of materials.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate reports and maintain documentation to track procurement processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
