Director of Analytics Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Analytics to lead our company's data strategy and build scalable infrastructure for analytics.

  • Job Summary: The Director of Analytics will oversee the design and optimization of our data mart, define tools and frameworks for data creation, transformation, and consumption, and build unified data views that support diverse analytics use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development of next-generation data mart solutions that drive large-scale analytics and faster decision-making.
  2. Define and implement enterprise-wide data consumption strategies that meet business needs.
  3. Collaborate with product, marketing, CRM, operations, and finance teams to ensure data is democratized and actionable.
  4. Establish data governance, quality standards, and best practices for the organization.
  5. Drive adoption of self-service analytics and empower teams with the right dashboards, reporting, and insights.
  6. Introduce and scale ML-driven insights through collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in data & analytics leadership, with a proven track record of building data marts and defining enterprise-wide data consumption strategies.
  • Strong technical expertise in data modeling, flat table structures, and query optimization for large-scale systems.
  • Hands-on experience with both behavioral and transactional data, and integrating them into a single analytics layer.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data stack (SQL, ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouses like Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, BI tools like Looker/PowerBI/Tableau).
  • ML Competency: Familiarity with machine learning workflows (data pipelines for ML, feature engineering, model monitoring) and ability to guide data scientists in building predictive/ML models.
