Senior Wordpress and PHP Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress & PHP Developer to join our remote-first team. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable web solutions.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Building dynamic and responsive websites using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Integrating third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
  • Optimizing website performance for speed, SEO, and scalability.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure robust, secure, and high-quality applications.

In this role, you will collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, ensuring clear and effective communication. You will also follow best coding practices, maintain code quality, and adhere to project timelines.

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • 3–4 years of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development.
  • Expertise in custom theme and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and familiarity with frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter (optional but preferred).
  • Solid understanding of MySQL database design, optimization, and integration.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and other third-party services.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows in distributed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, security standards, and website performance optimization.
