We're seeking a skilled Reconciliation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, posting and reconciling payments received by the Revenue Team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
This specialist will independently solve complex problems and integrate in-depth knowledge of reconciliation areas with industry standards and practices.
- Must have good understanding of insurance accounting, a strong accounting background and reporting skills.
- Monitors and manages incoming payments, retrieving and posting remittances from applicable payor websites when necessary.
- Reviews remittances for applicable adjustments, transferring balance to secondary or patient responsibility when required.
- Responds to questions related to payment application and works closely with the onshore team to resolve any account variances.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Any relevant accounting college degree with 3-7 years of experience.
- Good knowledge of technical accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications and software applications, along with advanced financial statement preparation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong mathematical and organizational skills.
- Ability to report at the right level according to requirements (headline, summary, detail).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
