Senior Web Design and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Web Design and Development Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of web developers while actively participating in and completing web design and programming projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of design experience, programming expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Web Design and Development:

• Conceptualize, design, and develop visually appealing and user-friendly websites ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and platforms.
• Translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
• Champion UX/UI best practices ensuring the website is user-centric and optimized for conversion.
• Implement responsive design principles and optimize websites for performance, speed, and search engine optimization (SEO).

Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and leadership providing regular updates on project progress milestones and any potential issues or concerns.
• Actively engage with stakeholders to gather project requirements clarify expectations and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle soliciting feedback addressing inquiries and incorporating suggestions to deliver high-quality solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and diplomacy skills in managing stakeholder relationships resolving conflicts and negotiating priorities to achieve consensus and drive project success.

Team Management:

• Lead a team of web developers providing guidance support and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment encouraging creativity and continuous improvement within the team.
• Manage workload distribution project timelines and resource allocation to optimize productivity and meet deadlines.

Project Management:

• Oversee the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion ensuring adherence to project requirements timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including clients designers developers and QA testers to gather feedback address concerns and make necessary adjustments.
• Monitor project progress identify potential risks or bottlenecks and implement effective strategies to mitigate issues and ensure project success.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of websites to identify and resolve any technical issues or inconsistencies.
• Perform cross-browser compatibility testing and ensure websites are compatible with multiple browsers and devices.
• Maintain high standards of quality and ensure deliverables meet established design and performance benchmarks.
• Awareness of web security practices is critical to protect websites from vulnerabilities and attacks. This includes knowledge of secure coding practices SSL certificates and data protection techniques.

Continuous Learning and Development:

• Utilize analytics e.g. Google Analytics to measure website performance and user engagement. Implement strategies for continuous improvement based on data insights.
• Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in web design and development.
• Encourage professional growth and development among team members through training workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Web Design or a related field.
• Proven experience (7 years) in web design front-end development and project management.
• Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and other relevant web technologies.
• Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite e.g. Photoshop Illustrator.
• Experience with responsive design principles and frameworks e.g. Bootstrap.
• Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask prioritize workload and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with content management systems e.g. WordPress.
• Familiarity with version control systems e.g. Git and agile methodologies.
