Job Description

As an Incident Commander focused on containment and eviction for large or complex security incidents, you will be responsible for leading incident stakeholders, including security architects, service engineers, investigators, and domain-specific security engineering teams. You will drive the planning and execution of a containment and eviction plan of record, leveraging automation and self-service capabilities to scale response.

Your expertise in mitigation steps for various asset types and ability to contribute to self-service guidance for impacted engineering teams will be invaluable in ensuring seamless incident response. Additionally, you will participate in an on-call rotation as a Technical Program Manager, maintaining an inventory of containment and eviction capabilities and applying systems thinking to identify opportunities for improvement.

In this role, you will generate lean business cases to garner support for initiative prioritization and engineering investment, serving as the business stakeholder for engineering efforts and assisting with operationalization of said capabilities. Your commitment to continuous improvement in process and tooling will ensure that our security operations remain at the forefront of innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this challenging role, you will require:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working in incident response.

Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience working in cybersecurity fields like Security Response, Assurance, Security Operations, etc., as well as proficiency with Kusto data query languages and ability to work under pressure.
