Job Title: Global Trade Tax Analyst Intern

This is a full-time on-site internship role for a Tax Analyst, Global Trade, located in Bangalore Urban district. The Tax Analyst intern will be responsible for applied research in Indirect tax planning, tax compliance, and tax strategies from a Product development perspective.

The role offers the opportunity to work with and learn cutting-edge AI techniques in a fast-paced FinTech AI SaaS startup focused on disruptive innovation in Indirect Taxes & Global Trade.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Applied research in Indirect tax planning, tax compliance, and tax strategies from a Product development perspective.
  • Analytical tasks to support tax-related capabilities and strategies with specific focus on Global Trade - Customs, Excise, VAT/GST.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science strongly preferred (if you are a BCom/Commerce graduate only please do not apply).
  • Research interest in Taxation, strategic and tactical implications on Trade, impact on GDP, and Tax Compliance.
  • Experience in research methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong Analytical Skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude.
  • CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING, FINANCE, OR RELATED FIELD.
  • Basic knowledge of global trade and tax regulations is a strong plus.
About the Role:

This is an office-based role with no remote or hybrid options. We are based in north Bangalore (Hebbal). Our small team is made up of ex-Deloitte, ex-EY, ex-Google professionals who are pushing the boundaries to make a paradigm shift in Tariffs & Taxes management at a global level.

This is a very topical subject given the ongoing Trade War between US and many countries. If you are interested in pursuing further research towards a Masters or PhD in a related field, this role will suit you perfectly.
