About the Role

This is a long-term contract position with a global technology leader.

We are seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect scalable synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead adoption of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools with standardized instrumentation and deployment models.
  • Define onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring.
  • Integrate observability tooling to deliver unified insights.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop custom synthetic monitoring solutions where needed.
  • Contribute to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring.
  • Drive documentation, training, and cross-team knowledge sharing to strengthen monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate with application teams to embed synthetic monitoring into new service architectures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in AWS.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.

Primary Skills: AWS, Application Performance Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring, Dynatrace.

Secondary Skill: Playwright Scripting.
