Chemical Import Executive Job

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Import Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the import of chemicals into our facility.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Import Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for the import of chemicals, including export invoices, packing lists, and bill of lading drafts.
    • Insurance Certificates: Generate insurance certificates through online portals and ensure sufficient insured amounts are maintained.
    • Hazardous Cargo: Understand and prepare Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD) for hazardous cargo shipments.
    • Communication and Co-ordination: Manage communication and co-ordination with factory personnel, Customs House Agents (CHA), forwarders, transporters, shipping lines, and customers.
    • Negotiation: Negotiate air or sea freight rates with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHA.
    • Quality Control: Check and approve Shipping Bill checklists, Bills of Entry, AWB drafts, and BL drafts.
    • Transportation: Arrange transportation for FCL shipments and factory stuffing.
    • Letters of Credit: Manage Letter of Credit shipments.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regular review and understanding of SCOMET and Narcotics requirements for every shipment.
    • Customer Service: Resolve customer queries promptly and efficiently.
    • Packing and Shipping: Arrange courier shipments through DHL or FedEx and ensure proper packing for shipments.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Graduation degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in chemical import/export.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and good communication skills.
