Job Title: HVAC Design Specialist

Role Purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to deliver high-quality HVAC designs for commercial and light industrial buildings, meeting project standards and ensuring compliance with relevant contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate working drawings per project specifications.
  • Coordinate with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with site teams, maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and drawing logs, adhering to ISO standards.
  • Support quantity take-offs and drawing approvals, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor productivity and participate in quality control processes to enhance overall project quality.
  • Recognize additional work requirements and promptly inform the Project Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, including chillers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, ventilation, and smoke control systems.
  • Familiarity with GCC codes and Civil Defence regulations.
  • Proficiency in HVAC calculations and software, such as HAP.
  • Demonstrated experience with Revit and Navisworks is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills are essential for success in this role.
  • A solid understanding of related MEP systems is necessary to ensure seamless project execution.
