Electric Vehicle Powertrain Thermal Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electric Vehicle Powertrain Thermal Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in thermal dynamics, heat transfer, and EV systems.

  • Develop thermal models for EV powertrain components (motors, inverters, batteries).
  • Synthesize heat transfer, cooling systems, and thermal management strategies.
  • Analyze simulation data to optimize thermal performance and efficiency.
  • Validate models with physical testing and real-world data.
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate thermal solutions.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL) and MATLAB/Simulink. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in thermal simulation for EV powertrains or related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thermal Modeling and Simulation: Develop accurate thermal models for EV powertrain components using CFD tools and ANSYS Fluent.
  • Cooling Systems Design: Design and synthesize cooling systems that meet the thermal requirements of EV powertrains.
  • Thermal Management Strategies: Analyze simulation data to develop effective thermal management strategies for EV powertrains.
  • Model Validation: Validate thermal models with physical testing and real-world data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in thermal simulation for EV powertrains or related fields.
  • Expertise in thermal dynamics, heat transfer, and EV systems.
  • Proficiency in CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL) and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
