Job Description

We are a part of the Smart Infrastructure Division, a leading global supplier of products, systems, solutions, and services for efficient, reliable, and intelligent transmission and distribution of electrical power.

Main Responsibilities:

  • We handle protection relays engineering, including FDS, IO List, logic preparation according to customer specifications and support in customer approvals.
  • We configure relays for overall projects with schemes like Auto changeover, Reverse blocking, UV trip, etc., with 61850 goose implementation and based on customer-specific requirements.
  • We test schemes with configured relays and demonstrate them to customers during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • We manage teams to ensure on-time delivery of relay engineering documents, configuration files, and supporting FAT for Medium Voltage Air Insulated Substations (MV AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) panels.
  • We train customers on protection relays.

Candidate Requirements:

  • We require advanced knowledge of medium-voltage IEC standards, power system networks, fault levels, primary and secondary medium-voltage air and gas insulated switchgears, compact substations, ring main units, and general protection features.
  • We need knowledge of IS/IEC standards applicable for protection relays.
  • We expect hands-on experience/knowledge on Siemens relays and their configuration software, such as Digsi 4, Digsi 5, and Reydisp Manager.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience on competitor relays will be an added advantage.
  • We require advanced knowledge of protection and control philosophy.
  • Experience in relay setting calculation will be an added advantage.
  • We need ability to interact independently with clients and consultants for technical discussions.
  • We prefer experience in handling major customers, such as Reliance, Tata Power, Adani, and engineering consultants like EIL and TCE.
  • We look for fast learning ability, good verbal and written communication skills, collaborative approach, growth mindset.
