Job Overview

This role involves generating in-depth market research and analysis on a quarterly basis for the business development group. It requires strong analytical, financial and strategic thinking skills to identify trends and opportunities in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Generate competitive intelligence reports on key competitors and customers.
  • Perform insightful market research and analysis to support strategy development and M&A.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance of sector peers against Eaton operations.
  • Conduct strategic analysis on Eaton's peers, customers and potential targets to support business growth.
  • Prepare presentations and provide ad-hoc research to stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's degree in finance or engineering with at least 3-5 years' experience in strategic consulting and planning, market research and analysis, or corporate finance.

Skills

  • Strong analytical, financial and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, including writing clear reports and creating concise presentations.
  • Good understanding of financial statements.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with databases: Pitchbook, AlphaSense, Capital IQ.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with above-average Internet research capabilities.
