Senior Piping Design Expert Sought

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Piping Design Engineer to lead piping design and layout activities for complex engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in piping, HVAC design, and 3D modeling tools, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead piping design and layout activities for complex engineering projects.
  • Prepare and review piping GA drawings, isometrics, MTOs, and support drawings.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, structural, mechanical, instrumentation, etc.).
  • Perform clash detection and resolve design issues using advanced 3D modeling tools.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
  • Handle global client interactions professionally, capturing requirements and delivering effective design solutions.
  • Understand client requirements and carry out design-related tasks based on inputs.
  • Knowledge of all marine classification societies, standards, and rules.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of working individually and as a team.
  • Ensure timely delivery of design packages while adhering to project schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Identify risks, deviations, and propose solutions to maintain design integrity.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors for equipment/piping interface requirements.
  • Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning teams with design clarifications and site queries.
  • Prepare design documentation, reports, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain designs that comply with project specifications, client standards, international codes, and classification society rules.
  • Perform 3D modeling, clash detection, and resolve design issues using advanced tools.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • 4-12 years of experience in piping design or relevant senior-level experience.
  • Background in Marine/Offshore projects highly desirable.
