Cyber Security Specialist Position

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive cybersecurity specialist to safeguard our systems, networks, and data against internal and external threats.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents to ensure the highest levels of system integrity and data protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage security tools and infrastructure to protect against cyber threats.
  • Monitor systems and networks for potential security breaches and investigate violations.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
  • Respond to security incidents and lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Ensure systems, applications, and network configurations comply with internal security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and secure software development life cycle.
  • Manage firewalls, antivirus, endpoint detection and response, security information and event management, data loss prevention, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
  • Maintain documentation related to security architecture, incidents, and processes.
  • Conduct security awareness training for staff and developers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Solid understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks, proxies, and endpoint protection.
  • Proficiency with security information and event management platforms, vulnerability scanners, and forensic tools.
  • Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Strong understanding of network and web-related protocols.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or GSEC.
  • Experience with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
